Hand reconstruction after complex trauma

Dr. Chertif is one of the romanian pioneers who founded the Romanian Society for Hand Surgery, with over 30 years experience in hand surgery.

In 2005 he developed and patented afterwards, the first prefabricated flap for the reconstruction of the thumb, which is a personal technique. This concept is that the surgeon can reconstruct a thumb in another part of the body when there is no other alternative in feet or the rest of the digits.

Cosmedica Clinic is the only romanian private clinic which has a FESSH accreditation.

At Cosmedica come patients with cronic hand diseases and patients who require an instant attention because of their complex hand injuries due to working with heavy machines in factories, with lumber and in other accidents in which the hands are affected.

We are trying to develop an intensive campaign of hand trauma prevention with TV shows, and teaching the managers and their workers how to prevent accidents at their line of duty.
